A good cleaner is first of all a cleaner that breaks nothing. Here are the rules Kaury Clean sets for itself, and how the code enforces them.
Always reversible
Startup apps are disabled, not deleted. Tidying your folders can be undone in one click.
No fake "RAM cleaning"
Emptying memory only fills it again while slowing the PC down. Kaury Clean shows the hungry apps and lets you close them.
No registry cleaning
It speeds up nothing measurable, and one wrongly deleted key can break Windows. We skip it.
OneDrive respected
Files left in the cloud are never read, so never downloaded to your disk during a scan.
Windows' own tools
Repairs go through DISM, SFC, chkdsk and restore points. No home-made recipes.

These aren't promises: they're rules of the app's engine, written in Rust, and you can read them on GitHub.
Folders fixed in advance
The list of cleaned folders is written in the engine. The interface only sends identifiers, never paths: no button can target another folder.
Recent files are kept
Temp files younger than 24 hours stay, and files used by an open app are skipped.
Never leaving the folder
Links and junctions are never followed during a cleanup, and each file's real location is checked at the moment it is deleted: no way to slip elsewhere on the disk.
Your files, carefully
Large files and duplicates are only searched in your personal folders, and you can never delete every copy of the same file.
Tidying without damage
Only files sitting directly in the folder move, never subfolders or shortcuts, and no file is ever overwritten.
Official commands
Uninstalling and repairing only launch official uninstallers and Windows tools, with commands fixed in the code.
Windows is never touched
In memory, Windows processes are never offered for closing.
No admin rights needed
The app starts without them. Protected Windows folders are flagged "admin" and unchecked, with a link to relaunch as administrator if you choose to.
Your data stays on your PC.
No account, no statistics, no tracking. Kaury Clean's only internet connection checks whether a new version exists. And an update is only accepted if it is signed with Kaury Studio's key: without a valid signature, nothing is installed, even if it was published on the official repository.
